Welcome!

While figuring out how to cope with my grief, I started a journal to remember my mummy. This allowed me to confront what I had suppressed due to a lack of emotional safety and it became a powerful source of healing for me. It reconnected me with her love and wisdom, inspiring me to share this journey with others. My hope is that this journal can help others gently work through their grief while cherishing the memory of their loved ones.

I understand how it feels to reject well-meaning advice like “just meditate” or “try journaling” when your world has completely collapsed. In those moments, simplicity can feel impossible to accept. But over time, I discovered the power of ritual practice—and journaling became that for me. It offered a space to turn to when I couldn’t quite face my grief, and a daily practice to help me stay grounded.

This journal is an invitation to create your own ritual—a practice for feeling, healing, processing, and remembering. It can be a ritual for celebration, for release, or for honouring memories. The choice is yours.

"I want to open up honest conversations about grief and show how healing storytelling can be."

Hi, I'm Katrina!

I’m a newly qualified Shakti and Somatic dance teacher, and I’ve started a scholarship with Layla Martin’s VITA certification program. I’m figuring out how I can bring what I’ve learned into the world. I'm excited to see where my journey leads!

Grief became a powerful catalyst for change for me once I allowed it to be—a tool to unlock new depths within myself and reconnect with what truly matters. I hope the journal can help others do the same—offering a gentle, reflective space to remember, heal, and find new perspectives on loss.
